Adelaide shook her fading red hair as she walked out of the school, after a long hard day of work. As a dare, this whole week she was being forced to go to school, not skip and she couldn't be late to any of her classes. Let's just say she was dying inside. She breathed out heavily, sighing, and looked at the sky. The clouds were hanging over, and rain drops began pelting the ground. She smiled, if anything could make her happy, it was rain. She ran to her car, and threw her bag inside, smiling as she spun around in the rain, her dancing skills showing off. The only dancing she knew was stage dancing, to use in theater.
She sighed happily, sitting down on the ground, not caring that now, the only thing not soaking wet was her hair, and it was getting close. She probably looked quite odd, just sitting on the wet cement, soaking in the rain. But she loved it, she lived for it. And she wasn't gonna let anyone tell her otherwise.

Time.
Seamus sauntered out of school. The day had gone fantastically. He'd managed to be late to maths without getting caught, an achievement only the pros could reach. There was a red headed girl up ahead. He vaguely recognised her from somewhere. Then he realised. Oh whoop dee dee, it was the Scene leader. She reached a car. Hers? The bag was thrown inside, and then she was sitting on the wet concrete, after a little perfomance. Seamus grinned. The wheels on his skateboard whirred as he skated down to her, and sat down.
Not on the concrete.
On his skateboard, which he was using as a seat. "Hi. What's your name? Mines Seamus, and I'm in the Scene." But she'd probably already guessed that. Smiling gently at her, he went on to pick at a non visible scab on his knee. It was an ancient relic from when he had first started skating, a scab that had survived the...what was it again? Seamus shook his head, and smiled quietly to himself. He'd ask the red-head. Dyed red-head, he didn't want to insult her. "Um, ya know when you say something has survived the something something of time, what are the somethings?" A funny question to ask, but nevertheless.

this is --the anthem--
Adelaide looked up as a smallish boy skated over to her. She smiled slightly, recognizing who it was. She knew him from the groups the scenester kids often had. She smiled at him. "Hello Seamus dear. I'm Adelaide. How're you doing?" She asked. Being the scene leader, she felt like a big sister for all the little bitty scene kids. She loved all of them, because they were like her. She laughed at the boys' question. She had no idea of what he said. She laughed and shook her head. "Errr..I have no..clue.." She shrugged and looked at him. "Why do you ask, little man?" She had this thing for calling boys younger then her 'little man' or 'shrimp'. But Ade was just messed up in the mind, as any one of her friends would say.

Negative.
"Hello Seamus dear. I'm Adelaide. How're you doing?" He nodded as way of reply, feeling cool, wet droplets sliding down the back of his t-shirt. Uncomfortable, he shivered slightly, trying to free himself from the dampness spreading slowly through his clothes. "Errr..I have no..clue. Why do you ask, little man?" He shrugged, not in a talkative mood. Brooding. He suddenly thought of something. Survived the ravages of time. The trials of time. Or, the ravages of the ages. Na, the ravages of time sounded better. He looked at the wet car, suddenly wondering why they were sitting out in the pouring rain. He looked at Adelaide. She was obviously enjoying herself. Sighing, his fingers skimmed the surface of his board, and he inwardly groaned as he realised what a fool he had been. Skateboards and rain did not mix. Looking again at the girl, he wished her to be gone, then quelled the negative thought. Of course he didn't.
ooc: thats cool. mines almost as short as well.
