Character
Name: Daniel Alexander Ross
Gender: male
Age // Year: 19 // Sophomore
Desired Clique: Cards (wishes he was Dolces?)
What part will you take?: rebel? I don't know
Family:
Personality:
{I took a lot of Danny's personality from Tory, my other character. They are really similar, and I was kind of lazy in that I didn't rewrite it...I can, if you want....}
Clumsy
Ah, yes. He's got too left feet. On one he can be falling all over the place. Don't be angry if he trips and sends something flying in your direction.
Attention
Danny loves attention, cuddling and hugs. Anything passed a little peck on the cheek though, well, he’s one to fall for a person fast. Poor Danny is a hopeless romantic, and his little antics normally carry on after some time when knowing someone. He’ll snuggle with anyone willing, but the consequences are always him falling into a small like for whomever the person is. It leaves him confused if he really does like girls and guys, since he is willing to snuggle up and love whoever's around. He’s rather clingy at times and only to certain people. It honestly depends on who you are. IF you're his significant other, he would prefer you not flirt with others and keep him warm at night.
Common-Sense
Most who know him personally can say he isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed. Of course Danny isn’t mentally retarded, but the things that come out his mouth sometimes are worth a nice awkward stare. Danny is known for his random statements and beyond strange ideas.
Charmer.
Danny is what everyone would call a little bit of a charmer. Well maybe a little more than that. He can make anyone smile and even a nun say things that you would never know were in her vocabulary. He charms his way out of everything, homework, school, relationships. He has a special way with words and a smile that no one can resist. Its not that he twists words or anything or makes them into something they aren’t. He’s a bit of a poet, to put it in simpler terms. There is something about his words whatever they may be that can bring emotion out of anyone.
Listener.
To be good with words naturally Danny was born a listener. Not just of music, oh no. Danny collects stories, poems, lyrics, and anything else being told to him. He stores them all in his mind. He has an opinion about everything he listens to. Maybe he will only tell it about movies, music, and books. But he will never tell his friends stories. Especially when there are in severe confidence for his ears only. He has a perfect track record of never betraying a friend and he intends to keep it that way.
Brother.
Even if it isn’t a normal aspect of someone’s personality. It is for Danny. He looks out for everyone, and he can’t help it. He stands up for anything he knows is wrong, and sometimes for things that just feel wrong. He doesn’t think that people should pick on others just to make them feel better about themselves. He is very liberal in his ideas but is a strong believer that everyone is created equal and it doesn’t matter who you are. Everyone is equal in his eyes, if anyone needs his help he would not hesitate to give it.
Tease.
Ah, this one gets Dan all the time. He has a hard time not making bad jokes about anything and everything, especially during awkward silences. He has made a bad habit of it, and its hard for him not to make a crack at anything you say. Danny loves to joke around. Whether its bad jokes to cheer up a friend or jokes about his insecurities or simply a laugh at someone else's expense (never to be mean, though) Danny is almost always found with a grin on his face. His current source of amusement is bad pickup lines, which he finds hilarious and is trying to write down every one he hears. He's almost a collector of jokes, and can spout of one from any given category given a second or two.
Danny's spent most of his freshman year at USF a complete Card. As much as he loves to tell jokes and poke fun, he knows that there's more to him, someone else inside. He can also be really sweet and caring, not just funny and out there. If anything, during his sophomore year he'd love to break out, show more of his 'Dolce' side. He's tired of being one-dimensional and happy all the time and wants to be known as more of a sweetheart, like his brother Doug.
History:
A total and complete army brat, Daniel has lived his whole life on base and, if he follows his brothers footsteps, will most likely never leave. The son of two retired army officers, Daniel Ross is by no means a striking individual. Sure, he's only five'seven, yeah, he's got amazing blue eyes. But there's nothing out of the ordinary about him. With four older brothers (one twin) and a younger sister, Danny is the youngest of the Ross boys, and the most troublesome.
Born 28 October, a mere four minutes after his brother Doug, Daniel is the least remarkable of all of his family. His mother is an accomplished author and talented with languages, his father is a prominent retired army captain, his brother Mac is a genius, Brennan is a total jock, Brady is an amazing musician, even Doug is a good artist, and Vicky is the only girl. Daniel? He's funny. That's how he decided to stand out from the rest of his family. Sure, he writes loads of songs, plays the piano and guitar, sings, and can speak a number of different languages, but that's nothing new in his family.
Danny often felt left out as a child, even with a twin brother, he was always being overlooked. Mac and Brennan would hang out together, Brady took Doug under his wing, and as much as they all loved Vicky, no one really wanted to hang with her. Often left to his own devices while their parents worked, Danny would hide away in the room he shared with Doug and Brady and write songs, play his guitar, or read. Even in school he was more often found at the edge of the cafeteria with a library book than in the middle of a group of people. At recess he could be found juggling a soccer ball on his own, rather than playing football with the rest of the boys.
In sixth grade, when his father moved stations to Washington, Danny was excited. He had very few friends to leave behind, and he was ready for a chance to start over. Three months before he turned eleven, Danny's family moved from Virginia to Washington. Mac had just graduated high school and would be attending Catholic University in D.C., meaning there would be more room in the house. Danny was excited to go to a new school and make new friends. He wanted to break out of his shell and move out of the background. His whole family was rather surprised when it happened, though.
Doug had always been expected to be the more popular twin. He had always stood out and made friends, been more outgoing, friendly, excited, etc. Danny was, until the move, the quieter, more reserved twin. After the move, though, their roles were basically reversed. Danny moved to the forefront, taking the spotlight, and Doug let him. Moving to the background, Doug seemed content to sit back and let Danny take the attention for the first time. No one recognised the boiling waters under the surface.
The Ross family had moved to Washington just in time for Ethan Ross' final tour of duty in Afghanistan. Three tense months in, everything seemed to be going well. One day in December, though, something finally snapped. Danny and Doug had a huge fight at school. No one quite knew what started it, but everyone agreed that Doug threw the first punch. Before they could be separated, Doug had broken Danny's nose and two fingers, and Danny had given Doug a black eye and a bloody nose. Four sessions with the guidance councilor found the root of the problem. Doug had simply been missing their dad and jealous of all the attention that Dan was getting. So used to the limelight, he hadn't realised how Danny must have felt when they lived in Virginia.
Since the fight, Danny and Doug have become extremely close, the way twins are 'supposed' to be. Doug is still more of an artist while Danny's an actor and a comedian. What brings the two together is music. They can often be found playing guitars together after school and have participated in talent shows and what have you. If you ask anyone, Danny is the more talented guitarist, while Doug has more of a flair for singing. Danny tries to avoid singing, he doesn't like his voice. He avoids complements in general, he has a hard time telling when someone is serious or not and he doesn't want to be embarrassed.
Danny and Doug were both accepted to USF and are both there studying music. Kathy and Ethan were not the happiest to see their youngest sons go off base to study music of all things, but slowly they are accepting it. The boys, on the other hand, are ecstatic, their first time off base has proved to be the best they've had.
Now that he is in college, Danny is very excited. He can't wait to go out into the real world and do something with himself. He doesn't quite know what yet, probably work in the music industry somehow, but he knows for sure that he does not want to stay on an army base for the rest of his life. He just doesn't know how to break that news to his parents. That or how to tell them that he might not be completely straight....

Celebrity: Danny Jones
Description:
Danny stands at a height of around five foot seven, making him extremely short. Well, not extremely, but still rather short. Being short, but still rather built, he pokes fun at himself. His height, though most likely his greatest physical flaw, is his main way to make people laugh. Before others can joke about it, Danny is all about 'short' jokes. Being short also makes him thin. Much of that thinness is attributed to the weekends and evenings he spends running. A runner and soccer player, Danny is very fit. Though not bulging with muscles, he is muscled enough to be considered 'toned', and gets a lot of looks when he works out because, apparently, shorter guys aren't supposed to be buff. Dan's fine with being just average. He knows that he's definiately extraordinary on the inside where it really should matter. Usually girls are interested in only boys that are giants but that's not nessicarily the case with Dan. He can be charming at times but usually it's his smile and those cute facial expressions he's infamous for that will win the girl he desires over. It doesn't exactly matter to him because for the most part he's got quite a bit of height on the girl he's with. Though if he ever does come across a girl who's his height or taller he triesd to best to avoid them. Shorties are what he likes.
His hair is a large source of vanity for Dan. Naturally insanely curly, he straightens it on occasion, more when he was an underclassman than now. A mousy brown colour, not his favourite but he'd never dye it, Danny's long-ish locks are his favourite feature. He often covers his head with a beanie or a cap, but when he doesn't he's constantly playing with his hair. Big blue eyes are Danny's best feature for attracting girls. He is a master at masking his emotions, so even if he is completely bored, he can turn on his charm and act totally interested. Plus the intense light blue and you've got a weapon no girl can resist. Masking his eyes also gives Danny a mean poker face, he's great at sarcasm because its easy for him to keep from looking like he's teasing someone.
Danny wears a lot of very casual, almost skater-ish clothing. His style can be described as 'whatever- my- brothers- left- at- home- before- going- off- to- college- and- some- crap- that- I- found- in- the- garage- last- year' or more simply 'I- don't- care'. Aside from his hair, Danny cares seemingly very little about his appearance. His clothing style is almost too casual at times, band tees, jeans, the occasional button down shirt are pretty much all he owns. Most of his clothing is in some way too big for him and makes him look even 'sloppier'. Danny doesn't like this, he secretly would really like to be 'fashionable' and look nice, but his height and stature makes it difficult for him to find clothes that fit.
