You don't like being secondI don't like being wrong The only sound in the small dorm was the whirring from the ceiling fan as it spun casting a light breeze down onto the seventeen year old, who was sitting on the unmade bed that was pushed against the far wall. In a shaky hand he held a empity syringe. His dark brown eyes stared down at it, before he pulled a black belt out of a pair of jeans that was laying on the floor among a group of scattered cloths. He sat the syringe down on the bed before wiping the palms of his sweaty hands on his jeans. He looped the belt as he glanced over at the clock, 5:45pm. He had gone a little over a day with out a fix, and once again the withdrawal seemed to getting the best of him, But he wasn't quite at his braking point. His head ached and his hands where shaky, But it was nothing he couldn't deal with. He hadn’t hung out with any of his friends for a while, they could probably sense the change in his personality, He noticed that he was more irritable, and was very quick to snap at people, nothing like the old, healthy Charlie was, That Charlie was gone. A sigh left the teenagers lips as he droped the belt on the floor, he had nothing to do with the rest of his Saturday. [Sorry sorta' crappy post...]

you'll catch me at yo local party
yes i crank it everyday
Dawnie walked around her house, staring at the pictures she held in her hand. They were pictures of her and Charlie. She stared at the tattoo on her wrist, which read 'Charlie'. They had been so hopelessly in love with eachother. And she didn't want to admit it, but she couldn't get over the fact that he had moved on. Sure, she had too, but she was never one for change. The pictures in her shaking hands had brought back all too fond memories.
She sighed, running a hand through her hair, not daring to look at the tattoo on her wrist. She was wearing her pajamas, which were short shorts and a tanktop. She decided the best way to sort this out was to talk to Charlie himself. She needed to see him anyways. She hadn't talked to him in the longest while, and it kinda sucked badly. She sighed once more, and ran a straightener through her hair quickly, and put some eyeliner and makeup on, then walking out the door.
She pulled in front of Charlies dorm building, pictures in hand still. She calmly walked up to his door, knocking softly. "Charlie dear. Its Dawwwwwnieeee." She spoke softly through the door, hoping he'd come and open it soon, because some guy behind her was staring at her assets. Gross. She tapped her foot lightly, not looking at her own wrist or at the pictures in her hand. It just hurt, and she didn't know why.
pictures. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ her wrist says CHARLIE, not ryan. mk? XD

Such a lonely dayand it's mine He glanced toward the door as the familiar voice introduced it’s self. Dawnie, He run a hand over his slightly messy brown hair before dropping the syringe back into the small box and pushed it under his bed with his black and white converse covered foot. He quickly pulled on a black hoodie that covered the small scars that where scattered across his arms. He paused with his hand on the door for a second be fore opening it, “Hey... Dawnie”He didn’t know why she was here, not that it mattered he was happy to see her. “What brings you here” He smiled stepping back so she could come in. It didn’t really bother his that his dorm wasn’t the cleanest room, but it never had been, and Dawn of all people would know that. He noticed the pictures in her hand and the smile seemed to melt off his face, He had a feeling this wasn’t going to be a relaxed visit... he could tell she had something on her mind.

its because of this
southern weather.
Dawnie smiled at him as he opened the door, immediately engulfing him in a hug, whether he wanted it or not. "Heyy." She spoke, breathlessly. Of course, they weren't dating anymore, but he still was one of her really close friends. She noticed he was acting differently, and it really bothered her. She wanted to know what was going on in his life, but she wasn't going to be annoying about it and demand that he tell her.
She sighed as she took a seat on his couch. "Well, I just wanted to umm.. talk?" She looked at him. His eyes, they seemed so distant, so apathetic. She breathed out heavily, and ran a hand through her hair, her nervous habit. "About us?" She frowned slightly. "Back in the day..of course. Come look at these pictures with me." She spoke, patting the couch next to her. Her hands were shaking. She was staring at the tattoo on her wrist still. She wondered if he got his removed.

If you fall your as good asDead He wrapped a arm around her as she hugged him, He missed the small things like her hugs, her kiss he even missed the old ‘talks’ they used to have... But he doubted he would like this one. “Talk?... that’s always fun” he said sarcastically. Of corse the old pictures, the ones that would remind him of the memories that always made him feel guilty. He sat down next to her, half of him wanting to talk to her, tell her why they ended up breaking up... He could tell she felt a bit awkward, to tell the truth he did to. He kept his eyes fixed on either his hands or the floor, he couldn’t bring himself to look her in the eyes, at least not yet. His bit his lip as he practically forced himself to look at the photos in her hands. [Sorry it's really short]

and the sun
will set for you.
Dawnie sighed and watched as he sat down beside her. "Yes. It should be a sport, its so fun." She chuckled lamely. She stared at the pictures in her hand, and decided to make fun. "Remember this christmas?" She pointed to one of the pictures, of the two in Santa hats. "How my dog chased you around the neighborhood for like 3 hours?" She laughed, remembering the good days.
She hoped that by bringing up the good moments, they could talk more easier about what happened with them. "Or when my grandma gave us pregnancy tests and condoms as stocking stuffers?" She couldn't help but lean into his chest, smiling at the pictures, reminiscing of her lost love.

I don't feel a thingand I stoped remembering ‘Remember this Christmas?’ She asked him pointing at a picture. “How could I not remember it?... and I don’t think your dog really likes me to much” He said smiling as he brushed a bit of stray hair away from his eyes while still staring down at the pictures. He nodded “Best socking stuffers yet” he said jokingly. He froze for a second as she leaned against him, he gently put his arm around her, holding her like he used to. “It’s funny...” He started. “How things can seem so perfect...” He cut himself off his dark brown eyes fixed on his hand that was busy picking at a thread from his fraying jeans.

everybody, put up your hands
say i dont wanna be in love
Dawnie smiled at him. "He's very protective of me. I guess." She smiled and looked at the pictures, analyzing everything about them. How could a couple so perfect break up like they did. How could they just let everything make them break. She sighed once again, but chuckled at his words. "Hey, atleast we put them to good use, ehh?" She smirked.
She frowned again. She didn't know what to say to him, she sighed and leaned more against him, putting her feet up on the couch, and wrapping her arms around his middle, like how she used to. "Its funny.." She spoke, continuing his sentence. "How something so perfect could fall apart..." She whispered, begging herself not to cry.

I'm gonna' live my life as I chooseUntil I fall He had to smile “I guess” was his reply to both to her comments about her dog, and the stocking stuffers. He let his cheek rest on top of her head as she wrapped her arms around him. Obviously she didn’t hate him now, at least not yet. ‘How something so perfect could fall apart’ Her words seemed to replay over and over in his mind. It had been his fault they broke up because of one party, and group of stupid ‘friends’ and the fact he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. It had been bad enough he had to see her almost everyday at school, but now she was sitting in his dorm. He just wanted to ‘kiss and make up’ but a simple ‘I’m sorry’ wouldn’t be enough. It wouldn’t be that easy. “I really missed you” he said quietly.

i can write these words better
then you ever felt them
Dawnie sighed softly. She missed this. She missed the feeling of his arms around her, and her arms around him. She missed the feeling of him. She could never hate this boy, for as long as she lived. Even if she found out the true reason for why they broke up. In a sense, she wanted him back. And oh, she wanted him back with a fiery passion.
She closed her eyes, and listened to his heart beat. She didn't ever want to leave the comfort of his arms. Ever. She would live right here, and live perfectly fine. 'I've really missed you' he spoke. She let out a breath of relief. "You have no idea how much I miss you." She bit her lip. She was NOT going to cry, no matter how hard she had to control herself, she wasn't going to cry. "You have no idea.."

Heaven is not enoughIf when you get there it's just another blue Even though it went against everything he wanted to do, he let go of her, leaning forward resting his elbows on his knees. “I’m...” He didn’t know exactly what he was going to say, “I’m really sorry” he began messing with the end of the sleeve of his hoodie that pretty much covered his hands. Under the sleeves of his hoodie was all the proof anyone would need to turn him over to the police, so he had kept quite. Not a soul knew of his addiction. ... What if she told someone? The thought only crossed his mind for a moment before he reminded himself that she wouldn’t do that to him. “I know what happened...” He paused “It's my fault” He still could only look at his hands as they shook slightly as he continued to pick at his sleeve, not wanting to know what she was thinking.

i cant seem to shake
this awful feeling
Dawnie frowned as he let go, but watched him lean down. She put her hand on his back, rubbing softly, and occasionally running her hand through his hair. She tried not to focus on the fact that the hand she was using was the hand that had his name tattooed on it. "It's okay baby. It's okay." She spoke softly, unsure of her words. She didn't know what was going on, she wanted to, but that didn't change that she was completely oblivious to what he was going through.
She continued rubbing his back, watching him carefully. She had been so worried about him, and now, it was even worse. "Charlie, what happened?" She asked, getting down on her knees infront of him. She took his hands in hers and looked him in the eye. "A relationship takes two people, and as much as people hate to admit it, a breakup takes two people as well. It can't be all your fault." She spoke, taking one hand and placing it on his cheek, caressing it softly.

this road of life will lead us onno turning back the past is gone His mind was racing, what should he tell her, how would he tell her, what would she think of him... But he had no idea why he let them drift this far apart before he tried to tell her. ‘Charlie, What happened?’ She said taking his hands. He opened his mouth ready to tell her everything, but he couldn’t quite get the words out. ‘It can’t be all your fault’ But yet somehow he had managed to mess things up pretty bad this time. He sat there staring back intro her eyes for a moment before taking a deep breath and pulled back a sleeve showing the scars that where scattered over his arm, It was obvious what they where and since he couldn’t find the words to tell her, he just showed her. “You didn’t do anything” His eyes where still fixed on hers, even though he wanted to disappear. "I understand if you don't trust me anymore"

your a dime plus 99
its a shame you don't know your worth.
Dawnie looked at him pleadingly, she wanted more then anything to know. She watched as he opened his mouth to speak, her heart rate increasing, only to have him shut it again and leave her hanging. She scooted on the floor, closer to his legs. She placed both hands on his cheeks now. She watched as he struggled to find the words to tell her what was happening.
She looked down at him, pulling his sleeve up, to reveal scars from long use of drugs. She gasped slightly. If there was anyone she thought wouldn't do this stuff, it was him. She looked him in the eyes as tears streamed down her face. "Charlie. I love you." The only words that left her mouth, and they surprised her as much as they probably surprised him.

I don't know how I got this wayI know it's not alright He was ready to hear something like ‘Charlie! How could you?!’ but instead he heard ‘Charlie. I love you.’ a feeling of relief washed over his face. “I love you too” He said hugging her practically lifting her off the floor. “I’m so sorry” He mumbled his arms still wrapped around her. He pulled back looking into her eyes again, “I didn’t want you to have to see me like this”He had felt a huge weight left off his shoulders, but fell silent as he was reminded that soon his body would want another fix, but he couldn’t do that to Dawn. But he also didn’t want her to see him fight it either.
