Taking out a fresh piece of paper, Sophie wondered what to draw next. She decided to draw another horse, this time jumping. She had only started to sketch out the body when another note came at her.
Jack- i wasn't either. it's not like english is ever really really fun. i love horses. they rock. do you like horses?
--sophie
Folding the note, she glared at the boy who was in between them. She rolled her eyes again as she turned around, and worked on the sketch. Biting her lip in concentration, she managed to make the head perfectly.
ooc- SO sorry it took this long to reply. i had a friend sleep over last night and then today i wasn't able to get on because my friend was over all day, and then tonight we went to a local event in our town and i just got back like 10 minutes ago.

Jack had finished his assignment and was staring at the back of Sophie's head when the note came back to him. He read it and replied.
sophie, are you kidding? english is a blast! i can hardly handle it! that was sarcasm. yeah, horses are cool. i don't ride or anything, but they're neat and... strong. yeah. -jack.
In the margins of the paper on which the note was being passed, Jack drew a little doodle. It was of the boy in front of him with smoke pouring out of his ears. Next to it, he wrote (I don't know if this kid will make it through the class!). Then he passed the note back to Sophie.
(ooc- no problem! I'm going to be at camp for a week, so sorry about that, but yeah, it's no problem.)

Arching the neck, she drew the back, straight and perfectly lengthed out. She drew the curve of the hind legs when a note came to her. Dropping her art pens, she read the note and wrote back quickly.
Jack-
Yep, real fun. yea, that was sarcasm. yup, wicked cool. awesome doodle!
--sophie
She drew a doodle of her own, which was the kid behind her. He was flopped on his dexk, with X's for eyes. His tongue was hanging out of his mouth, and his hands were limp at his sides. Folding it and handing it back, she continued to work on the doodle.

Jack watched Sophie straighten up from her doodle. He waited as she wrote back to him, and then he read her fancy script and replied.
sophie,
thanks. I don't doodle much... usually, I'm more of a stare into space kind of guy. But I'm finding your hair a better view than the clock right now it's very shiny. nice doodle. -jack
Yeah, the hair line was cheesy and weird, but it was true. He really liked her hair; it was very pretty. He usually stared at the clock, but time went faster watching her.

Sophie glanced up at the clock. School seemed to be going by so slow. She bit her bottom lip, chosing the horse to be a dappled gray. The note came back with a scowl, and she glared right back.
Jack- space is big. haha thanks. to both.
--sophie
She folded it, and scowled at him as he grabbed it, scowling at her. Biting her lip again, she drew the front legs, arching them in the perfect way. The ears were pricked, eyes alert. She started on the saddle, taking careful time and concentration.

Jack's entertainment in writing the note was starting to run lower. It was still nice to get to know Sophie, but they had pretty much run out of things to pass across the room. The teacher was standing up again and babbling on about cases and uses in language. Sophie was bent over, frowning in concentration at her doodle. Jack got the note and replied:
sophie, so what kinds of things are you doing after school these days? -jack
It was a pretty lame conversational question, but he was curious. He glanced at her after passing the note forward. Her wavy hair had fallen in front of her face, blocking her eyes from his view. He returned his gaze to the teacher.

There were only fewer and fewer things left to say in the notes. Sophie didn't mind though, because she had her artwork to work on. The note came again, and she literally grabbed at it, seeing as the middle guy was trying to sneak a look at the note.
Jack- besides practices and meetings for whoknowswhat, nothing really. why do you ask? And then the occasional stay up all night and sleep till 3. but nothing else really.
--sophie
Passing the note back, she watched to make sure that he didn't try to look again. Satisfied, she slid the paper in her desk, and began to write furiously over the paper, just incase there was a check to see if the notes were done.

Jack snatched the note from the random classmate in between him and Sophie and read it. sophie, oh, i don't really know why i asked. maybe we could hang out together sometime? yeah, those stay-up-all-night-and-sleep-till-3 parties are always a ton of fun! -jack He passed it back to her and found himself staring at the back of her head again. What was wrong with him? He turned back to the teacher and listened. His eyes wandered to the clock; class was getting near the end.

She pulled her thick curls to the side of her neck, tying it with an elastic.Angles fell out of the tie, but she just brushed them aside. She was making the doodle a black and white, with some black scratch shading. She nabbed at the note, raising her eyebrows.
I'd like that, She thought to herself. Grabbing her pencil, she wrote her reply.
Jack- i'd like that. sounds fun. parties are awesomeee. class.is.almost.over. can`t waittt! --sophie
She handed the note back, turning back around. Tapping her heel against the metal chair leg, she added some final dapples before finishing it with a quick copywright. Sliding it into her folder, she started the other assignment they were supposed to do.

Jack grinned when he read her note. He looked up at her, but she wasn't looking at him. She was focusing on her assignment. Jack realized he should be doing the same. But first, he replied to her note.
sophie, parties are always fun. maybe I should throw one and invite a ton of people? but my dad won't let me till my grades are up. i'm sure, though, that you could come over some time, or we could go out somewhere. -jack
He tried to work on the paper in front of him, but he was feeling a tad anxious about Sophie's reply. This was the first girl he had asked anywhere since back at home. Since Mom had... He shoved that thought aside and kept working.

The assignment was easy, but she couldn't concentrate on it. It was too boring. Her phone in her purse buzzed from vibrate. She grabbed her phone out, and shoved it under the desk. SHe looked down, and saw it was a text from her friend. She ignored it, the buzzing stopped, so she placed it back into her bag.
Jack- tons and tons and TONS of people. aww. that would be nice. really nice.
--sophie
She handed the note back, chewing her pen cap. Her blue eyes darted back and forth from the clock to the board infront of her. She sighed as there was really nothing to do now but work on the assignment some more.

Jack fiddled with his pen. He twirled it between his fingers. He bit it. He tossed it in the air. He rolled it across his desk. He did everything he could with a pen until the note came back to him.
sophie-- yeah, i like parties. it'd be really nice to get together. maybe we could walk around the area and i'll show you around? how does tomorrow sound? --jack
Jack passed the note back and worked more on the assignment. Then he watched Sophie write on the note. She really was pretty. He thought about what he'd show her in the city. Maybe they could go down to the beach...

So. Boring. She wrote in the margins of her paper. Over and over again. She pulled her lipgloss from her pocket and swiveled the wand across her lips. Sliding it back into her pocket, she continued in her 'So. Borings' until the note came back to her.
Jack- yea. extremely. yea, sounds nice. tomorrows good.
--sophie
Handing the note back, "So.Boring" became her new assigment. It was on her should be assignment paper, but she'd finish it for homework if she had to. What did teachers expect of them anyway? To have a huge brain and no life? They're teenagers. They break rules, sleep late, "forget" homework, and party till 3a.m. It's what they do.

Jack noticed the bell was going to ring soon. He watched Sophie apply lip gloss, thinking about her lips. They were very pretty. Not as pretty as her eyes, though. He was snapped to attention when the boy in front of him practically shot the note to Jack.
sophie-- yup. looks like class is almost over. where and when do you want to meet? -- jack
He mouthed a polite thank you to the kid in front of him and passed the note back to Sophie. He couldn't wait for tomorrow.
((OOC- Hey, I think we're running out of things to say, so we should probably end the class soon.))

[ooc- yea. i'm gonna have it end now, so then after class they can work out the details.]
Sophie looked up at the clock yet again. Just a few more minutes. She grabbed her notebook from her bag and wrote the assignment down. She started packing up when the note came back to her.
Jack- uhm.... i don't care. i don't know my way around too well, soo. wherever.
--sophie
Sending it back, she finished packing her bag, anxious for the class to be over. When the bell rang, she almost jumped from her seat. She stood right outside of the classroom, waiting for anyone. Or Jack, to work out the details of whatever.
